Yesterday, today and tomorrow

Yesterday was The Boy's 17th birthday.

I made him a peanut butter cake, which was delicious...but terribly rich and fattening. We all had a piece and then I packed the rest of it away for him to share with the other counselors at camp.

We celebrated on Sunday because he left yesterday morning to go back to camp for the week.

This morning we went to the airport to greet Maria, the exchange student from Spain.

She will be with us for the next two and a half weeks.

I was a tiny bit worried about the communication since The Princess's Spanish skills are...slim to none!

Luckily, Maria's English in wonderful and the girls are already good friends.

The have been swimming and giggling and talking non-stop all afternoon.

They amused themselves greatly playing with "Sweet Talker Ken", at Target. They thought he looked just like Justin Bieber and so they would push the button and speak into the little microphone on his chest and then laugh hysterically as it repeated back, "Does my hair look good? I'm a pretty boy. I look like Justin Bieber."

I apologize for the poor quality of these photos. SOMEONE, who shall remain nameless but who was the last person to use my little camera when they were taking pictures of a Ferrari, messed with the settings on the camera. Bah!

Tomorrow we will hang out around the house. The Princess may have some friends over to meet Maria. And then we might go to the beach for a couple of days.

Or maybe we won't.

We're just going to go with the flow. Chill. Mellow. Relax.

It's how we roll.
