It's official

If you follow this blog regularly, you may recall this post about my obsessive online checking for news about this.  

So, now it is official - and I have absolutely no idea what this means for us.  We HOPE it means there will be a (long overdue) raise in the future.  But we just don't know yet.


At the risk of delving into the (gasp!) political, I must comment on the oil spill.  I have to tell you that I have always been against the drilling in the Gulf of Mexico for exactly this reason.

I hate the thought of our beautiful Florida beaches being coated in oil.

I hate the thought of all the birds and sea animals that will be killed.

Drill, baby, drill?

No thanks.

The cost is just too high.
